Position details

Guest service and sales

• Resolve guest calls, requests, and problems by contacting appropriate departments.
• Use sales techniques to optimize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
• Provide guest appreciation gifts or rewards when appropriate and promote brand awareness.
• Handle guest calls, questions, concerns, and Marriott Rewards point cancellation requests.

Reservations and administration

• Process room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or email.
• Enter Marriott Rewards information in the appropriate software during reservations.
• Perform Sales and Marketing office tasks such as filing, email, transcription, and faxing.

Standards and teamwork

• Assist management with employee training and motivation and serve as a role model.
• Follow company policies, protect confidential information and company property, and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Prepare and review written documents accurately, use proper telephone protocol, and maintain positive working relationships.
• Support team goals and monitor others’ performance against quality expectations.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance; perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Desirable qualifications

• A secondary-school diploma or GED is desirable.
• At least two years of related work experience is desirable.
• Supervisory experience is not required; no license or certification is specified.
