Role overview

Strategy and operations

• Support development and implementation of retail strategy and translate it into portfolio initiatives.
• Lead mall operations, develop aligned short-, medium-, and long-term strategies, and prepare asset plans.
• Develop budgets and operational plans, allocate resources, monitor spending, and approve corrective actions.
• Review portfolio mix and assess property condition, demographics, rental rates, competition, and traffic.
• Develop and implement retail property policies, processes, systems, and procedures.
• Review tenant prospects, participate in tenant selection, and maintain retailer and portfolio relationships.
• Oversee tenant design and space use, support tenant performance, resolve complaints, and manage tenant support budgets.
• Develop customer experience practices, monitor satisfaction, and ensure corrective action and ongoing improvement.
• Support marketing plans, events, and campaigns; participate in contractor and supplier selection.
• Track property KPIs and financial performance, report results, grow revenue, and control expenses.
• Improve services, build external relationships, and develop initiatives for retail assets and the community.
• Lead staff performance, development, motivation, and organizational culture.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a related field is preferred.
• At least 15 years of mall management experience in diverse senior management roles.
• At least five years in a leadership role within a large retail or real estate conglomerate.
• A master’s degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Marketing, Real Estate, or Management is preferred.
• Requires leadership, communication, negotiation, influencing, coaching, mentoring, business, financial, risk, legal, and change management capabilities.
