The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, assets, and equipment.
This includes executing planned preventive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and performing repairs down to component level to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems across the site in accordance with the asset register and management directives.
- Conduct routine inspections and servicing to ensure proper functioning of equipment, following daily and weekly maintenance plans.
- Repair, refurbish, and replace mechanical equipment as required, including implementing system upgrades and modifications when necessary.
- Verify the proper operation of systems, including those integrated with the Building Management System (BMS).
- Utilize BMS to monitor performance, identify issues, and ensure efficient system operation.
- Adjust system parameters as needed to maintain optimal operating conditions.
- Record and analyze system performance data to support energy efficiency and conservation initiatives.
- Participate actively in training and development programs, including technical and language training, as outlined in performance appraisals.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with environmental standards and HSE regulations.
- Attend safety meetings and toolbox talks to enhance safety awareness.
- Promptly report incidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to site management and HSE teams.
- Conduct regular building inspections and raise quality and safety observation reports.
- Follow up and close out safety observations raised through systems such as Senyar.
- Provide high-quality service to clients and site personnel, ensuring satisfaction and professionalism at all times.
Educational And Technical Qualifications
Diploma or Higher Diploma degree in mechanical or a related technical discipline.
Language Skills
- Proficiency in Written and Spoken English is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Arabic will be advantageous.
- Years of Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in the installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a supervisory or team-lead capacity within a Facility Management environment.
- Nature of Experience:
- Regular coordination with maintenance contractors to oversee operation and maintenance activities.
- Frequent collaboration with internal departments such as Operations, HSE, and Security.
- Occasional interaction with external stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
