Event Service Expert supporting banquet food and beverage service at W Hotels in Abu Dhabi.
Full-time schedule; the posting states the position is not remote and is non-management.
Banquet service
- Prepare coffee breaks, carts, stations, tables, action stations, buffets, dessert displays, and cordial carts according to banquet event orders.
- Communicate meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Clear courses, crumb tables, replenish buffet items, and maintain fresh, consistent presentation.
- Respond to special event arrangements and monitor tableware presentation.
- Bus tables, separate used tableware, and keep assigned stations and service areas clean, sanitized, and organized.
Guest service and standards
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist people with disabilities, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Follow company, safety, and security procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions and complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and support team quality standards.
Qualifications and physical demands
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Less than one year of related experience is listed as preferred; no supervisory experience is specified.
- The role involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking; lifting and carrying; reaching and bending; and moving on uneven or slippery surfaces and stairs.
