Estimation Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the estimation and tendering team.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Analyze project quantities, material and labour costs, subcontractor quotations, and equipment requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement, project management, engineering, and commercial teams.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, assumptions, and potential cost impacts.
• Prepare BOQs, rate analyses, and cost breakdowns; review and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Ensure tenders meet client requirements and are submitted on time.
• Conduct value engineering and cost optimization where required.
• Monitor market rates, maintain cost databases, support project handover, and follow company commercial procedures and tendering standards.

Requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong experience in construction contracting and estimation, with proven managerial estimation or tendering experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, materials, subcontracting, and market rates.
• Experience handling large-scale construction projects and complex tenders.
• Excellent understanding of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and cost planning.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• UAE/GCC contracting experience is highly preferred; experience with main contracting or construction contracting companies is preferred.

Compensation

• Salary is AED 25,000–35,000 per month.
