Overview
The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for construction and interior fit-out projects.
This role plays a critical part in securing projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop competitive and realistic pricing..
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze tender drawings, specifications, and contract documents to understand project scope.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for civil, architectural, and fit-out works.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions within deadlines.
- Review and validate technical and commercial aspects of subcontractor bids.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for cost inputs and clarifications.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Prepare tender clarifications, exclusions, and assumptions.
- Maintain a database of cost benchmarks, material rates, and supplier pricing.
- Assist in post-tender negotiations and handover to the project execution team..
