Hiring an experienced Estimation Engineer for an oil and gas company in Saudi Arabia.
Key responsibilities
- Review RFQs, ITTs, tender documents, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates, quotations, commercial proposals, quantity take-offs, and resource and cost breakdowns.
- Estimate manpower, materials, equipment, tools, consumables, subcontractors, and logistics; obtain and assess quotations.
- Prepare BOQ pricing, rate analyses, and bid comparisons; maintain estimation sheets and historical cost databases.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Projects; identify commercial risks and technical cost impacts.
- Support value engineering and cost optimization; attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification meetings.
- Respond to tender and client pricing queries, protect confidential commercial information, and follow company procedures and strategies.
Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
- 5–7 years of experience in estimation and tendering.
- Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, EPC, or Industrial experience.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, cost estimation, and rate analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Saudi or GCC experience is an advantage.
