The Estimation Engineer prepares project cost estimates, analyzes tender documents and vendor quotations, and coordinates with design, procurement, and project teams to support cost efficiency and compliance.
Estimation and tendering
- Prepare detailed BOQs and estimates from drawings, specifications, and design inputs.
- Conduct quantity take-offs for architectural, structural, and MEP works; assess cost implications of design changes.
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications; prepare tender pricing and bid submissions within deadlines.
- Obtain competitive quotations from vendors and subcontractors and check compliance with project scope.
Analysis, coordination, and reporting
- Analyze rates for labor, materials, and equipment; maintain cost databases and benchmarks.
- Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and design teams on cost optimization and participate in value engineering.
- Review subcontractor bills and verify quantities against site progress.
- Prepare cost comparisons and budget reports; track project costs and support variance analysis.
Experience and capabilities
- Five years of construction estimating experience is preferred.
- The role calls for technical expertise, analytical skills, and market knowledge of construction materials and methods.
Pay
- ₹35,000–₹45,000 per month.
