Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage sustainability policy implementation and documentation, project schedules, resourcing, tasks, and quality control.
• Complete stakeholder reporting under applicable frameworks and monitor compliance with policies, standards, and strategies.
• Serve as the main contact for clients and project teams; develop and implement climate change and sustainability policies.
• Apply project management principles, including scheduling, resource leveling, effective meetings, and client relations.
• Develop technical strategies for energy, carbon, water, and waste management, mitigation, reduction, and neutrality.
• Prepare technical and promotional presentations and white papers; conduct product and technology research.
• Contribute to publications, lectures, teaching assignments, speaking engagements, webinars, and seminars.
• Maintain internal KPIs, support company growth, and comply with the company’s Integrated Management System and quality, environment, and HSE policies.
• Work on GHG assessments, carbon footprints, net-zero strategies, ESG strategy and reporting, climate risk assessments, and sustainable design.

Core skills and experience

• Three to five years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong written and spoken English; French or Arabic is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, client and consultant collaboration, and emotional and social intelligence.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams, a built-environment background, and working knowledge of MEP, construction management, and design.
• Experience on at least five sustainability consultancy projects; knowledge of climate change issues, protocols, carbon accounting, and the GHG Protocol.
• Familiarity with net-zero strategies and standards; knowledge of LEED, Al Sa’fat, Estidama, Mostadam, and BREEAM.
• Relevant LEED AP, Estidama, BREEAM, or other certification is preferred, or commitment to achieve one.
• UAE experience; strong planning, organizational, self-management, and communication skills; hands-on engineering and project management skills. PMP is preferred.
• UAE driver’s license and personal transportation; passport for regional travel.

Key technical experience

• GHG emissions assessments or carbon footprint studies; net-zero strategy experience and familiarity with Scope 1, 2, 3, SBTi, and Science-Based Targets.
• ESG strategies, materiality assessments, or sustainability reporting such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD.
• Climate risk or vulnerability assessments and green building or sustainable design certifications.
• Experience with carbon accounting tools or modeling platforms such as Excel-based tools, OpenLCA, and OneClick LCA.
