Role Summary
The ERP Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects across the organization.
This role ensures that ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations, and optimization initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
The ERP Project Manager acts as the primary point of coordination between business stakeholders, IT teams, implementation partners, and software vendors, ensuring seamless communication, effective change management, and successful user adoption of ERP solutions.
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end ERP implementation, upgrade, migration, and optimization projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved according to approved plans.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Manage project changes through established change control processes.
Business Process Analysis
- Collaborate with business units to understand operational requirements and process improvement opportunities.
- Analyze existing business processes and recommend ERP-enabled best practices.
- Ensure ERP solutions effectively support organizational goals and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external consultants.
- Coordinate with ERP vendors and implementation partners to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and communicate project status to senior management.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
ERP Implementation & Integration
- Oversee ERP system configuration, customization, testing, deployment, and go-live activities.
- Coordinate data migration, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Manage integration between ERP systems and third-party applications.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure successful issue resolution before deployment.
- Ensure compliance with system architecture standards, security requirements, and governance policies.
Team Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams comprising business users, IT personnel, and external consultants.
- Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure accountability for project deliverables.
- Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and effective communication among project participants.
- Mentor team members and support professional development where applicable.
Change Management & Training
- Develop and implement change management strategies to drive ERP adoption.
- Coordinate end-user training programs, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of business processes, system configurations, and project deliverables.
- Support organizational readiness and transition planning during ERP deployment.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure project deliverables meet agreed quality standards and business requirements.
- Monitor compliance with project governance frameworks and industry best practices.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons-learned sessions.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements and continuous process improvement.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree or MBA is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of project management experience.
- At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing ERP implementation projects.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo, Infor, Sage, or equivalent systems.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, cross-functional projects and vendor relationships.

- PRINCE2 Practitioner
• Agile / Scrum Certification
- ERP Vendor Certifications (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, etc.)

Working Conditions
- Full-time position.
- May require travel between company locations, project sites, and business units.
