Role overview

Application and project work

• Configure, maintain, and optimize Epic HB or PB modules; translate business requirements into technical solutions and perform application build, testing, validation, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot defects and user concerns, improve workflows, and participate in implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and optimization projects.
• Develop project plans, timelines, testing scripts, and documentation; coordinate with Epic representatives, vendors, and internal stakeholders; support change management and user adoption.

Revenue cycle, testing, and support

• Support billing, claims, reimbursement, charge capture, and payment posting workflows, including revenue integrity and denial reduction efforts.
• Develop and execute test plans; maintain configuration, workflow, and support documentation; follow organizational standards and Epic best practices.
• Provide end-user support, consultation, training, and educational resources; act as a liaison between business units and IT.

Experience and education

• At least 3 years supporting healthcare information systems and at least 1 year working with system integrations, interfaces, or technical support processes are required.
• A relevant bachelor's degree is required, or four years of related experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
• At least 1 year of healthcare revenue cycle experience and at least 1 year supporting Epic applications are preferred.

Certification and hiring assessment

• Epic certification in one or more technical applications, or the ability to attain certification in the assigned module within the timeframe set at hire, is required.
• Successful completion of the Sphinx Assessment is a required part of the selection process.

Work environment and schedule

• The position is hybrid and may require at least 25% onsite presence.
• Project needs may require additional hours, including evenings and weekends, onsite go-live support, and occasional work-related travel, including out of state and between organizational facilities.
