Environment Management Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Own and manage SIT, UAT, performance testing, pre-production, staging, training, and demo environments.
• Build centralized dashboards for status, availability, bookings, utilization, refresh schedules, and deployment tracking.
• Synchronize application versions, configurations, integrations, and infrastructure with production baselines.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure, DevOps, Development, QA, Testing, and Release Management teams.
• Manage bookings, scheduling conflicts, resource contention, and capacity planning across programmes.
• Oversee test data refreshes, data masking, and security compliance.
• Lead incident triage, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Maintain inventories, configuration baselines, deployment records, governance processes, and operational documentation.
• Support application architecture and environment setup for new projects.

Required skills and experience

• 8+ years of relevant IT experience with proven enterprise environment management expertise.
• Strong hands-on experience managing SIT, UAT, and pre-production environments.
• Knowledge of version control, configuration management, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience building operational dashboards, monitoring environment health, and reporting utilization.
• Strong incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong stakeholder management, coordination, and environment governance skills.

Technical scope

• Web and mobile applications, Finacle, Prime 4, middleware, Microsoft platforms, application and infrastructure environments, CI/CD, configuration management, monitoring, and dashboards.
• Banking or financial services domain experience is preferred.
