Engineering Technician

Position overview

Maintenance responsibilities

• Perform minor routine maintenance on property vehicles, including engineering trucks, shuttle vans, and electric carts.
• Check oil, fluid levels, and tire condition; charge batteries and replace spark plugs.
• Clean and lubricate tools and equipment as preventive maintenance.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Record operations, maintenance, and safety activities, test results, instrument readings, equipment malfunctions, and maintenance work in daily logs.

Safety and workplace duties

• Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete safety training and certifications and store flammable materials properly.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets.
• Communicate professionally, prepare and review written documents, answer telephones appropriately, and work cooperatively with others.
• Handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is listed.
