Engineering Technician

Position

Maintenance duties

• Perform minor routine maintenance on engineering trucks, shuttle vans, and electric carts, including checking oil and fluid levels, checking tire pressure and wear, charging batteries, and replacing spark plugs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Maintain daily logs of operations, maintenance, and safety activities, including test results, instrument readings, equipment malfunctions, and maintenance work.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines to identify defects.

Safety and workplace duties

• Follow company safety and security policies; report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, and injuries; complete safety training; and properly store flammable materials.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect company assets and confidential information, communicate professionally, and support team goals and positive working relationships.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

• At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is specified as required; no license or certification is specified.

Physical requirements

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Use fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, and reach overhead or below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
