Engineering Consultancy Office Manager

​Job Summary:

​We are seeking a highly qualified and strategic Office Manager to lead our Engineering Consultancy firm in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operational, technical, and administrative functions, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards while maintaining compliance with Abu Dhabi’s regulatory frameworks.

​Key Responsibilities:

​Operational Leadership: Manage daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow across design and supervision departments to meet project deadlines.

​Technical Oversight: Review engineering reports and project plans to ensure alignment with international standards and local municipal regulations.

​Business Development: Identify new market opportunities, prepare technical and financial proposals, and build strong relationships with clients and developers.

​Regulatory Compliance: Represent the firm before government authorities (e.g., Department of Municipalities and Transport - DMT) and ensure all permits and licenses are up to date.

​Team Management: Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and administrative staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

​Financial Management: Oversee the office budget, manage project costs, and ensure the overall profitability of the branch.

​Requirements & Qualifications:

​Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any discipline that qualifies for a senior managerial role).

​Language: Native or professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory for technical reporting and client negotiations.

​Licensing: Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

​Experience: Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within an engineering consultancy environment, preferably within the UAE.

​Local Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the Abu Dhabi Building Code and local permitting processes.

​Core Competencies:

​Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.

​Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

​Ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines.

​Strategic thinking with a focus on business growth and operational excellence.

​Preferred Skills:

​Membership in the UAE Society of Engineers.

​Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera or MS Project).

​Multilingual abilities are a plus.
