Role overview

Maintenance and engineering duties

• Perform preventive maintenance; inspect tools, equipment, and machines; and maintain inventory and parts supplies.
• Repair complex property, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and pool-heating equipment in line with company standards and applicable codes.
• Inspect property for hazards, poor illumination, and equipment failures, and take corrective action.
• Diagnose and repair appliances, HVAC, electrical and plumbing components, boilers, pumps, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot hotel MEP systems and use engineering programs for preventive maintenance and energy management.
• Perform Engineer on Duty readings and rounds; communicate shift activities and issues.

Required qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• License or certification in refrigeration or electrical; the source notes earned or currently working toward it, but the sentence is truncated.
• Professional journeyman-level expertise in at least three listed maintenance areas and basic skills in the remaining areas.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two-year technical diploma certificate in HVAC/refrigeration.
• Extensive general maintenance training and experience, including advanced repairs, electrical or refrigeration, and surface preparation and painting.
• At least two years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience.
