Role overview

Join Eaton’s Middle East Engineering Team in Dubai as a hardware engineer supporting product development and technical documentation.

Design, validate, and sustain electronic hardware for EMEA life-safety and power-management products, while maintaining product documentation throughout the lifecycle.

Hardware engineering

  • Design and validate electronic hardware and PCBA solutions for protection, control, monitoring, and life-safety products.
  • Develop hardware architectures; perform circuit design, component selection, schematic capture, and hardware integration.
  • Conduct simulation, prototyping, laboratory testing, EMC/EMI validation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Support industrialization, manufacturing-readiness reviews, and production ramp-up; optimize performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
  • Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, DFSS, and product improvement; collaborate with product, quality, manufacturing, and supply-chain teams.

Technical documentation

  • Own the creation, maintenance, and release of manuals, installation guides, maintenance instructions, service documentation, and technical specifications.
  • Create and maintain product and packaging labels, engineering drawings, technical illustrations, schematics, BOMs, reports, procedures, and test records.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and revision control in PLM systems and coordinate consistency with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Provide technical documentation for regulatory and certification activities and improve documentation templates and processes.

Cross-functional work

  • Support project planning and execution, prepare technical presentations and progress reports, and participate in design reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, UL, and other applicable product standards and directives.
  • Provide technical guidance and promote engineering knowledge sharing across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least 4 years of electronic hardware design and development experience.
  • Experience in industrial electronics, embedded hardware, control systems, or Life Safety products, and in engineering-product documentation.
  • Experience supporting product certification, validation, and industrialization activities.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, PCB design and manufacturing, embedded systems, simulation, EMC/EMI, debugging, and laboratory validation.
  • Experience with PLM documentation management; Enovia and SAP are examples.
  • Hardware design tool proficiency in Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent.
  • Technical illustration/documentation tools and DFSS are good to have; knowledge of IEC, UL, and product safety requirements is listed.
