Owns technical performance of BMS/EMS and HVAC plant to keep cleanrooms and controlled areas validated and GMP-compliant.
Responsibilities
- Own BMS/EMS configuration, alarms, trends, PID tuning, backups, and user access; Siemens Desigo CC is given as an example.
- Troubleshoot HVAC failures and environmental excursions; lead root cause analysis and CAPA.
- Manage PM, calibration, HEPA/airflow testing, and shutdowns for HVAC and BMS/EMS.
- Own change controls, deviations, and SOPs; support IQ/OQ/PQ qualification and computerised system validation.
- Ensure BMS/EMS data integrity under 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11.
- Provide project input; supervise contractors and vendors.
- Implement energy savings without GMP impact.
- Supervise and train operators and technicians; serve as on-call escalation point.
- Represent HVAC/BMS in audits and regulatory inspections; enforce permit-to-work, LOTO, and EHS requirements.
Experience and education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Engineering.
- 5–8 years of HVAC/BMS experience, including at least 3 years in a pharmaceutical or GMP facility.
- Hands-on BMS programming; Siemens Desigo CC preferred, with Honeywell, JCI, or Schneider accepted.
- Good knowledge of EU GMP Annex 1, ISO 14644, GAMP 5, ALCOA+, and cleanroom HVAC.
- Strong problem-solving, technical writing, and team leadership; fluent English. Arabic is an advantage.

- Role supports cleanrooms and controlled areas and includes HVAC plant maintenance and testing.
