The HVAC Technician operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and supports compliance of HVAC systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
The role focuses on BMS monitoring and control to maintain regulated environmental conditions.
HVAC and BMS responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AHUs, FCUs, MAUs, exhaust systems, chillers, cooling towers, and dehumidifiers.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to SOPs and maintenance plans.
- Maintain temperature, humidity, and pressure differentials in line with GMP and URS requirements; respond promptly to alarms and breakdowns.
- Monitor HVAC systems through BMS platforms such as Siemens Desigo CC, Honeywell, Schneider, or equivalent; acknowledge alarms and review trends.
- Support point-to-point checks, loop checks, and requalification, and coordinate troubleshooting with BMS engineers.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical or HVAC Engineering.
- 3–5 years of pharmaceutical or cleanroom HVAC experience.
- Hands-on BMS experience.
Compliance and records
- Follow cGMP, WHO, EU GMP, and FDA requirements and support HVAC qualification and requalification activities.
- Maintain logbooks, checklists, deviations, and change controls; follow ALCOA+ data integrity principles.
