Full-time, on-site Engineer role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, specializing in ePowertrain Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) software development.
The role develops and validates control software for electric powertrain systems, including torque management, energy optimization, and vehicle performance features.
Responsibilities
- Develop control algorithms and integrate software with hardware components.
- Conduct system-level testing and troubleshoot issues with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ensure automotive standards compliance; document software architecture and test results.
- Improve software robustness, safety, and efficiency; participate in design reviews and support production launch activities.
- Contribute to future ePowertrain innovation.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and control systems relevant to ePowertrain and automotive applications.
- Process control, motion control, troubleshooting, and robotics and automation experience.
- Embedded software development (C/C++ or similar), real-time operating systems, and automotive communication protocols such as CAN or LIN.
- Familiarity with model-based tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and software verification and validation methods.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate technical concepts clearly in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Knowledge of automotive safety and quality standards such as ISO 26262 or ASPICE is highly beneficial.
