Financial risk management
- Assess financial risks and their impact on company performance.
- Monitor market trends, economic indicators, interest rates, currency movements, and commodity prices.
- Develop strategies to mitigate market risk exposures and maintain related policies and procedures.
- Maintain policies and procedures for credit losses and counterparty risks.
- Develop and enhance financial risk models to quantify, monitor, and analyze exposures.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.
- Promote a risk-aware culture and coordinate risk activities with Finance and other divisions.
Managerial accountabilities
- Set individual objectives, manage performance, and develop and motivate staff.
- Contribute to business plans, implement policies and controls, and prepare and monitor section budgets.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities in systems, processes, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Ensure section reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with company requirements.
- Protect confidential information and ensure adherence to health, safety, security, and environmental policies.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent.
- At least six years of experience, including at least two years in a leadership role.
