Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders.
Work with multidisciplinary clinical teams to deliver patient-centered care in line with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage diabetes, thyroid disorders, obesity, osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disorders, and other hormonal conditions.
- Create individualized treatment and follow-up plans; request and interpret laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
- Educate patients about disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle changes, and preventive care.
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain complete clinical records and participate in audits, quality improvement, CME, and departmental programs.
Qualifications and requirements
- MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification or board certification in Endocrinology, Endocrinology and Diabetes, or Internal Medicine with appropriate Endocrinology specialization.
- Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or DOH eligibility as a Specialist in Endocrinology is required.
- Relevant post-qualification Endocrinology experience and strong clinical knowledge of diabetes and endocrine disorders are required.
- Excellent communication and patient-management skills are required.
- Arabic-speaking candidates are highly preferred; Abu Dhabi or GCC healthcare-sector experience is an advantage.
