EMM BO Engineer

Job Summary

Operations & Support

• Provide 2nd Level Operations and Restoration support for EMM FE and OLM platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network, application, and service-related issues within agreed SLAs.
• Investigate system disturbances and implement corrective actions.
• Escalate complex issues to relevant support teams when required.
• Monitor and maintain system hardware and software health.

Configuration & Change Management

• Handle Change Requests and support implementation activities.
• Configure and maintain EMM FE and OLM services and related components.
• Ensure all system and functional testing activities are completed according to approved designs.
• Track and manage operational changes and service enhancements.

Performance Monitoring & Analysis

• Generate, analyze, and interpret performance reports.
• Monitor traffic patterns and service KPIs.
• Identify network deficiencies and proactively recommend improvements.
• Support capacity planning and service optimization initiatives.

System Administration & Integration

• Administer Linux-based systems and application environments.
• Support Oracle database administration and SQL troubleshooting activities.
• Manage web service integrations, REST APIs, SMPP, and Diameter interfaces.
• Support virtualized and cloud-based deployments.
• Assist in network integration and implementation activities.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Create and maintain maintenance routines, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational best practices.
• Participate in technical meetings and support team initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards and change management procedures.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in telecom operations, messaging platforms, or service delivery environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting EMM FE and OLM platforms.
• Experience working in telecom-grade production environments.

EMM FE & OLM Expertise

• Strong knowledge of EMM Front-End (FE) and Online Lifecycle Management (OLM) platforms.
• Experience with:
• SFTP protocols
• Web Service Front-End and Back-End architectures
• WSDLs
• SMPP Front-End and Back-End integrations
• Interconnect systems
• Diameter Front-End implementations
• DNS and FQDN configurations

Systems & Database Administration

• Strong Linux System Administration experience.
• Oracle Database Administration knowledge.
• Advanced SQL skills for reporting and troubleshooting.
• Unix Shell Scripting experience.
• Basic Java programming knowledge.

Networking & Protocols

• Good understanding of GSM network architecture.
• Strong IP Networking knowledge.
• Experience troubleshooting:
• HTTP
• SMPP
• Diameter
• REST APIs
• Ability to capture, analyze, and interpret protocol traces.
• Understanding of DNS, FQDNs, and network routing concepts.

Virtualization & Infrastructure

• Experience with Veritas Cluster management and standalone deployments.
• Understanding of virtual machines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment architectures.
• Basic Load Balancer administration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and infrastructure designs.

Integration & Testing

• Experience using SOAP UI and web service testing tools.
• Knowledge of network implementation and integration processes.
• Understanding of project lifecycle phases including implementation, handover, and closure.
