Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of ASIC firmware, command systems, telemetry processing, power control, hardware interfaces, and autonomous capabilities.
• Build reliable, secure software and firmware in Linux and RTOS environments.
• Drive ASIC security architecture, threat modeling, security reviews, and defensive design.
• Implement secure hardware communications over I2C, I3C, SPI, UART, USB, JTAG, and Ethernet.
• Support secure chip and board design from concept through bring-up, verification, and integration.
• Use secure coding standards, code reviews, and security testing.
• Integrate security validation into manufacturing and test environments with test engineers.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience identifying bugs in architecture, algorithms, functionality, and performance, with strong debugging skills.
• Experience verifying logic at levels ranging from IP blocks and SoCs to full-system testing.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with formal verification, including abstraction and end-to-end checking.
• Experience with ARM and DSP instruction set architectures.
• Experience with RF standards such as 4G/5G NR, WiMAX, 802.11ad, microwave backhaul, or related broadband wireless standards.
• Experience with industry-standard tools and Python or Perl scripting for automation.

Compensation

• The posted annual base salary range is USD 153,600–215,000 for the listed locations; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
• The compensation package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units; benefits include insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
