Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related engineering discipline.
- Valid UPDA/MME engineering registration and MOI-approved CCTV/Security Engineer status or eligibility for MOI approval.
- Three to five years of ELV/CCTV experience in Qatar; MOI-approved project experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, NVR/VMS, IP networking, access control, and security systems.
- Experience with MOI CCTV submissions, approvals, inspections, and commissioning procedures.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and technical drawing preparation or review.
- Ability to prepare technical submittals, method statements, material approvals, and project documents.
- Good communication and coordination skills; a Qatar driving license is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer CCTV and other ELV security systems; prepare and review layouts, schematics, equipment schedules, BOQs, and submittals.
- Ensure designs and installations comply with Qatar MOI requirements and applicable standards; coordinate authority approvals and inspections.
- Supervise CCTV installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning; configure cameras, NVR/VMS, storage, switches, and related equipment.
- Conduct site surveys and assess existing infrastructure and site conditions.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, MEP and IT/network teams, suppliers, and security authorities.
- Review shop drawings and check installation against approved drawings and specifications; troubleshoot system issues.
- Prepare commissioning reports, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documents.
- Monitor schedules, support material selection and procurement, attend meetings and inspections, ensure HSE and quality compliance, and guide site teams.
