Required Qualifications

  • Tutors must be awarded Federal Work Study funds
  • Be enrolled in at least 6 credits
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in college coursework or high school coursework for incoming freshmen
  • Tutors must have their own transportation to the elementary school
  • You may be required by the school district to undergo a criminal background check; SMC will cover the costs of all background checks required by the school district.
