Job summary

Project and technical responsibilities

• Manage and liaise with MEP coordinators, the main contractor’s technical team, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure discipline shop drawings align with design drawings, specifications, details, and other disciplines, and manage submissions to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Ensure drawings comply with local authorities, applicable standards including QCS2014, and project specifications.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and support client, consultant, contractor, and project manager satisfaction.
• Guide technical engineers and draftsmen, set work targets, and allocate team responsibilities.
• Review and approve Electrical shop drawings and design calculations before submission.
• Review and sign off Electrical material technical submittals before consultant issuance.
• Review and approve method statements against project specifications and authority requirements; coordinate reviews and approvals with other departments.
• Support HSE initiatives, safety awareness, and incident reporting and resolution in line with company and IMS policies.

Job knowledge and competencies

• Strong knowledge of the construction field, electrical codes and standards, NFPA, and local regulations.
• Competencies include electrical load diagrams, schedules and calculations; electrical power design; electrical wiring; ELV cabling; and voltage drop calculation.
• ERP knowledge is required; SAP functional skills are preferred.
• Additional competencies include agility, AI fluency, leadership, quality, and resilience.

Experience and education

• At least 8 years of total work experience and 5 years of relevant experience; 2 years of GCC experience is a plus.
• Professional degree in MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA); UPDA Certified Engineer or certification with attestation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
