Key responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and BOQs for electrical and ELV systems on MEP projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs using drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Review project scope and documents to identify requirements and discrepancies.
- Estimate material, labour, and installation costs.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Analyze costs, compare quotations, and assist with tender submissions.
- Coordinate with procurement, technical, and project teams to clarify requirements and optimize costs.
- Deliver accurate, competitive estimates within deadlines.
Job requirements
- At least 2 years of UAE electrical estimation experience in MEP construction; the job summary states 2–4 years.
- Hands-on electrical and ELV quantity take-off experience.
- Knowledge of ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, structured cabling, and fire alarm.
- Understanding of MEP construction costs, materials, labour rates, and installation costs.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs.
- Experience with cost estimates, tender pricing, and BOQ evaluations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation-related software.
- Good analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
Preferred candidate profile
- Detail-oriented, with practical UAE MEP estimation experience and strong electrical and ELV technical knowledge.
- Able to prepare accurate and competitive project estimates.
