Electrical Engineer - Street lighting

Construction supervision and quality control
- Supervise electrical works on roads, bridges, underpasses and related infrastructure, including street lighting, feeder pillars, LV cable networks, lighting controls and feature lighting.
- Check installations against approved designs, specifications and authority requirements.
- Develop inspection and test procedures under the project quality plan; review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and ITPs.
- Witness and verify testing, commissioning and energization; oversee electrical integration with bridge structures.
Coordination and reporting
- Coordinate with DEWA, authorities, utility providers and service agencies on connections, inspections, approvals and interface issues.
- Work with civil, structural and mechanical teams to coordinate integration and sequencing with infrastructure works.
- Coordinate with the design office on material reviews, technical queries and design modifications.
- Maintain inspection, progress and test records; contribute to daily and weekly reports and prepare punch lists and handover documents.
- Guide electrical inspectors, identify issues early, recommend solutions, and promote site safety and HSE compliance.
Qualifications
- At least eight years of experience in the UAE.
- Knowledge of local UAE authority procedures, standards and regulations is essential.
- BEng or MEng in Electrical Engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
