Electrical Project Engineer

1. Site Assessment & EVSE Engineering Design

• Conduct comprehensive facility site surveys to evaluate existing electrical panels, transformer capacities, and available load.
• Perform load calculations and voltage drop analysis to determine the optimal layout for EV charging stations.
• Design dedicated branch circuits, specifying correct conduit sizes, wiring, overcurrent protection devices (breakers), and disconnects.
• Update and draft single-line diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, and site layout plans using AutoCAD.
• Evaluate and spec facility panel upgrades or smart load-management systems when existing power capacity is constrained.

2. Installation Management & Commissioning

• Supervise third-party electrical contractors and field technicians on-site, ensuring all work meets engineering prints and safety protocols.
• Coordinate the physical delivery, mounting, and wiring of EV charging hardware (Level 2 and DC Fast Chargers).
• Actively troubleshoot electrical wiring, cellular/Wi-Fi connectivity, or hardware firmware issues during the deployment phase.
• Lead the final testing, commissioning, and networking of the chargers, ensuring seamless integration with our software platform.

3. Permitting & Project Coordination

• Prepare technical documentation for local building/electrical permits and coordinate with municipal inspectors for final sign-offs.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, property managers, and facility teams throughout the installation process.
• Maintain meticulous project records, including as-built drawings, commissioning reports, and safety certifications.

& Qualifications

• **Education:**
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in

Electrical Engineering

• , Electrical Technology, or a closely related field (equivalent field experience as a certified/journeyman electrician with strong engineering skills will also be considered).
• **Experience:**
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial electrical installations, facility fit-outs, or field-based equipment deployment.
• Direct experience with EV charging hardware (EVSE) is optional but preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong working knowledge of commercial low-voltage (LV) electrical systems and local electrical codes (DEWA, ADDC etc).
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and updating single-line diagrams via

AutoCAD

• Familiarity with open protocols like

OCPP

• (Open Charge Point Protocol) and smart-charging load management is a major plus.
• **Field Readiness:**
• Willingness to travel frequently to regional project sites; comfortable working hands-on in active commercial parking structures and outdoor environments.

• Strong contractor management abilities, clear communication skills with non-technical clients, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
