Responsibilities

• :
• Assist in the design, review, and coordination of LV and MV power distribution systems for building, airport, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare electrical design calculations, including load calculations, voltage drop calculations, cable sizing, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support the design of substations, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power factor correction systems, and electrical rooms.
• Develop and review single-line diagrams, power layouts, lighting layouts, earthing and lightning protection systems, and electrical equipment schedules.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Assist in the preparation and review of technical reports, specifications, material submittals, and shop drawings.
• Support utility coordination activities and assist in obtaining approvals from local authorities such as DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, and Civil Defense.
• Participate in site inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
• Assist in resolving technical issues related to power distribution systems, cable routing, electrical equipment, and installation works.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards and local authority regulations.
• Support senior engineers and project managers in delivering projects within established schedules and budgets.
• Contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable electrical design solutions.

Requirements

• :
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical power engineering, preferably in building, airport, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in the design of LV/MV power systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and electrical distribution networks.
• Familiarity with electrical power system studies such as load flow, voltage drop, cable sizing, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination.
• Proficiency in ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of international standards and local authority requirements, including IEC, IEEE, DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, and Civil Defense regulations.
• Exposure to site supervision, testing, commissioning, and authority inspections is preferred.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
