The role is a BIM Engineer – Dry Utilities supporting infrastructure and urban development projects.
The engineer develops and coordinates 3D models for power, street lighting, telecommunications, and other dry utility networks.
Digital delivery, digital twins, automation, and AI-enabled solutions are used to improve project efficiency, coordination, quality, and design outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage 3D BIM models for dry utility infrastructure.
- Coordinate utilities with roads, structures, landscape, drainage, and other infrastructure elements.
- Perform clash detection, model reviews, and design coordination using BIM and collaboration platforms.
- Generate drawings, layouts, schedules, and project documentation from BIM models.
- Maintain model quality and compliance with project requirements, client standards, and company procedures.
- Use digital engineering, digital twin methods, and automation; assist with BIM data, templates, families, and model libraries.
- Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings; support visualization, constructability reviews, and presentations.
- Improve BIM workflows and standards and keep current with AI, automation, and digital engineering applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- BIM modeling, infrastructure design, or utility project experience is preferred but not mandatory; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other BIM software proficiency is preferred.
- Dry utility systems knowledge and familiarity with BIM workflows, model coordination, and clash detection are preferred.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills; strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Desired additional experience includes UAE utility authorities, Dynamo, automation, computational design, CDE platforms, digital twins, AI, and ISO 19650.
Desired skills
- Desired skills include familiarity with DEWA, RTA, Etisalat, du, and related UAE utility authorities.
- Experience with Dynamo, automation, computational design, and collaborative digital delivery platforms is desired.
- Knowledge of digital twins, AI, BIM standards, and ISO 19650 is desired.
