• Drawing & Modelling
- Prepare detailed 2D (using AutoCAD) showing crane positions, load paths, boom radii, and rigging arrangements.
- Site Planning:
- Map out site layouts, identifying overhead/underground obstacles, power lines, and swing paths to ensure safe crane setup and movement.
- Technical Calculations:
- Assist engineers with calculating load weights, center of gravity, ground bearing pressures, and rigging gear capacities (sling angles, shackles, spreader beams).
• Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain organized drawing registers, revise plans as site conditions change, and verify that all plans adhere to safety standards (e.g., ASME, OSHA, ISO).
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate closely with project managers, Lifting Supervisors, and Rigging crews to ensure the lifting plan is practical and clearly understood prior to execution
