Document Controller-

  • Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to the following.
  • All documentation related to changes shall be communicated to relevant document controller for action and update in systems.
  • Lead implementors (Job pilots) will coordinate with document controller about all areas that will require update for example inventory for drawing upload in material master, AVEVA in case of change in equipment data or PID related information, etc.; all changes shall be recorded as required and followed up till closure in line with RIK status follow up.
  • Responsible for keeping a record in hard copy for each RIK case.
  • Receive the signed submitted forms from Job pilots for RIK close out form completed and for filing and record and to record the overall time taken from start to closure.
  • Calling for follow up meetings as required to ensure actions are taken timely and completed within stipulated time frame as per action plan.
  • To generate statistics and progress visually to ensure finding root cause and resolving issue in these recurrent meetings.
  • Coordinate with ESD DCC team as required.
  • Maintain the RIK folder data intact and in good shape and with required quality level.
  • Basic qualification & experience
  • 3 Year Diploma in an Engineering discipline.
  • 5 years hands on document control experience in the Oil & Gas industry on major project implementation with an EPIC Contractor.
  • Demonstrate awareness of international oil & gas and petrochemical industry codes and standards as well as experience using the latest Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as SharePoint.

Language and Communication Skills

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English language.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, technical manuals, and engineering drawings, PIDs etc.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in liaison with contractor.
  • Positive attitudes and strong personality.

Computer Skills

  • Computer literate and experience in use of MS office, Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) SharePoint.
  • Familiar with SAP / CMMS software application.
