Qualifications

  • Previous experience in distribution, warehouse operations, logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple operational responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, internal departments, and external partners.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, inventory management, or other distribution-related systems preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling operational and personnel matters.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily distribution activities to ensure orders, shipments, and product movements are completed accurately and within established timelines.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, guidance, and support to distribution team members to ensure effective workflow and productivity.
  • Monitor staffing, workload, and operational priorities and assist with the appropriate allocation of resources.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse, Transportation, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and other departments to support daily distribution requirements.
  • Monitor the processing, staging, loading, unloading, and movement of products to ensure accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
  • Verify order, shipment, inventory, and documentation accuracy and address discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor daily operational performance, including productivity, order accuracy, shipment completion, and service-level requirements.
  • Identify operational issues, delays, safety concerns, and process inefficiencies and escalate significant matters to management as appropriate.
  • Assist with the investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, damaged product, and other distribution exceptions.
  • Ensure employees follow company policies, standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support training, onboarding, and development of distribution employees by providing instruction and reinforcing established procedures and expectations.
  • Promote a safe, professional, and productive work environment and promptly communicate safety concerns or incidents to management.
  • Assist management with scheduling, workload planning, performance monitoring, and other operational activities as required.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation in accordance with company requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve productivity, accuracy, safety, service, and overall distribution efficiency.
  • Serve as a point of contact for distribution-related questions and operational issues during assigned shifts or areas of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
  • Leadership Responsibilities
  • Provide effective day-to-day leadership and direction to distribution team members.
  • Establish clear expectations regarding productivity, quality, attendance, safety, and adherence to company procedures.
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback as appropriate.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, communication, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Assist management in identifying staffing, training, performance, and operational needs.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of company policies and operational standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in distribution, warehouse operations, logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, inventory management, or other distribution-related systems preferred.
