About the role

Leadership and delivery

• Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing engineering teams and leaders across application development; foster an inclusive environment.
• Promote continuous learning and innovation, using AI to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and enhance product capabilities and operational efficiency.
• Shape technical strategy with Product Management, Enterprise Architecture, and stakeholders; align technology roadmaps with business priorities.
• Guide teams to plan clearly, mitigate risks early, experiment responsibly, and deliver predictably with accountability.
• Own end-to-end delivery from development through operations, embedding security, reliability, and automation.
• Serve as engineering escalation point for production incidents and key customer events, including root-cause communication to enterprise customers.
• Build a data-driven culture where metrics inform decisions and strategic change.

Customer, compliance, and site partnership

• Partner with Security, Compliance, and Payments on payment controls, nonprofit vetting and sanctions screening, SOC reporting, and data privacy.
• Serve as engineering counterpart to major enterprise customers on integrations, data services, and commitments alongside Product and Customer Success.
• Help shape the India site’s culture, talent, and operating rhythm as it scales.

Experience and qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant professional experience, including 10+ years in engineering leadership and direct experience managing managers.
• 7+ years delivering SaaS solutions at scale, including end-to-end delivery through operations that meets customer expectations and operational SLAs.
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering organizations, including people managers, and overseeing teams of 40+ engineers and architects.
• Ability to communicate technical vision and influence strategic decisions across engineering and business stakeholders.
• Fluency with AI-driven development tools and practices, including leading adoption and embedding AI in team workflows.
• Experience leading teams in SAFe or a comparable agile framework.
• Ability to work flexible hours as required by business priorities.

Preferred experience

• Experience building enterprise B2B SaaS, including enterprise integrations such as single sign-on, HRIS, and payroll; multi-tenant scale; and seasonal peak loads is strongly preferred.
• Experience with payments or money-movement systems is a plus.
• Experience in corporate social responsibility, the nonprofit sector, or mission-driven organizations is preferred.
