Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Management function and establish governance and controls for the project portfolio.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and operational projects aligned with business objectives.
• Develop project portfolios, schedules, budgets, and resource plans, and manage key milestones.
• Enhance PMO standards, methodologies, reporting mechanisms, and project controls.
• Provide executive-level reporting on project performance, risks, dependencies, and budget status.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and scope changes, ensuring timely mitigation.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, financial, and operational requirements and monitor performance.
• Drive effective resource allocation and prioritization across projects and business demands.
• Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and project performance analysis.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or an accepted alternative.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
• A postgraduate qualification in Project Management or a related field is an advantage.
• Strong professional proficiency in English; Arabic is an added advantage.
• At least 12 years of relevant project management experience, including complex projects.
• Proven senior project leadership or PMO experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong experience in PMO governance, risk management, and resource planning.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders and providing executive-level reporting.
• Track record of delivering projects across the full lifecycle, from planning to handover.
