The
- Director of Operations
- will work directly with the management of the firm to ensure smooth execution of strategic priorities, operational efficiency, and drive business growth.
- The ideal candidate with
- in-depth experience with both systematic and discretionary trading
- , as well as some managerial experience – in the best case gathered by spending time in both a startup as well as a larger corporate environment.
- The role based in the DIFC, a large-scale, multi-asset
- systematic hedge fund platform
- The main constituents of the book of work are as follows:
- Partner with management to run the business day-to-day and drive long-term strategy
- Pivot seamlessly between tactical execution and strategic planning
- Coordinate and drive execution of cross-departmental projects, identify dependencies and manage timelines to keep initiatives on track
- Provide clear and concise updates to the management on progress across multiple projects or workstreams
- Support business development and decision-making with data analysis, research, and well-structured recommendations
Required qualifications
- :
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years of
- professional experience in systematic / discretionary trading/
- trading, financial services, management consulting, or similarly demanding environment
- **Experience in physical commodities is ESSENTIAL**
- **MUST have in-depth experience with both systematic and discretionary trading**
- Experience in Crypto trading
- Ability to think strategically while executing tactically, often under tight deadlines
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
