The Team
The Engineering team plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless, safe, and sustainable operation of the hotel.
Working closely with senior leadership and in partnership with all operational departments, the team is responsible for maintaining the integrity, performance, and longevity of the property s physical assets.
The
Director of Engineering
reports directly to the
Hotel Manager
and leads a multidisciplinary team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
How You Ll Make The Place
- Lead all engineering, maintenance, and technical operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted hotel functionality
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs covering guestrooms, public areas, kitchens, and all mechanical and electrical systems
- Drive financial discipline through effective budgeting, cost control, and long term capital planning
- Champion energy management and sustainability initiatives that reduce consumption while preserving guest comfort
- Ensure full compliance with OSHAD, fire, safety, and statutory regulations, maintaining flawless audit readiness
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high performing Engineering team through training, performance management, and succession planning
- Oversee contractors and service providers, ensuring technical excellence, contract compliance, and value for money
- Anticipate and respond to guest and operational needs with professionalism, urgency, and care
