The role sets enterprise direction for operational technology, connectivity, cloud, and edge environments linking plant, production, and enterprise systems.
The position reports to the CTO and belongs to Technology & Innovation, in the Cloud, Connectivity & Operational Technology department.
Strategy and industrial technology
- Shape and execute enterprise strategy and roadmaps for OT architecture, cloud, edge, connectivity, and industrial technology.
- Establish standards, governance, and lifecycle principles for scalable and resilient industrial technology environments across sites.
- Modernize critical OT systems and controls, including PLC, DCS, SCADA, MES, LIMS, and historian environments.
- Improve availability, reliability, interoperability, and lifecycle performance for mining and processing technology.
- Enable resilient cloud, edge, hosting, and connectivity for dependable data exchange across industrial and enterprise systems.
Digital enablement and governance
- Build foundations for automation, advanced analytics, remote operations, and autonomous operating models.
- Enable secure, reliable OT data flows into enterprise, cloud, and Data & AI environments; improve visibility through remote monitoring and proactive management.
- Strengthen OT governance and controls for technology risk, cybersecurity dependencies, obsolescence, and lifecycle requirements.
- Direct modernization initiatives and establish KPIs for OT availability, reliability, resilience, and maturity.
Leadership and outcomes
- Align Operations, IT, Data & AI, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Innovation on integrated roadmaps and transformation priorities.
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary capability across OT architecture, infrastructure, connectivity, and related disciplines.
- Advise executive stakeholders on industrial technology priorities, investments, risks, and strategic partnerships.
- Success includes standardized architectures, resilient industrial technology, measurable modernization, secure data exchange, reduced risk, and accountable integrated roadmaps.
Minimum qualifications and experience
- Master’s degree in Electrical, Control, Industrial, or Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in operational technology, industrial automation, infrastructure, or industrial technology environments.
- Significant experience leading enterprise-scale OT modernization, systems integration, connectivity, or cloud and edge transformation.
- Strong experience with SCADA, DCS, PLC, MES, LIMS, historians, and networked production technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams and complex enterprise and operational transformation initiatives.
