Role overview
Dietitian Intern role in the Nutrition and Dietetics department at Mayfair Nutrition Center, reporting to the Medical Director.
Six-month internship offering supervised, hands-on experience in an outpatient wellness setting.
The intern supports evidence-based counseling, personalized meal planning, and community education.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition assessments, including dietary intake, body composition, and lifestyle evaluations.
- Assist with individualized plans for weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular health, food intolerances or allergies, gut health, and sports nutrition.
- Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling and coaching using behavior change techniques.
- Help design and lead group workshops, cooking demonstrations, and corporate wellness seminars.
- Track client progress, document sessions, and adjust plans based on feedback and outcomes.
- Create educational materials, meal plans, and social media content for the center.
Qualifications and requirements
- Currently enrolled in the final year of, or recently graduated from, an accredited Dietetics or Nutrition program in the UAE, US, UK, Canada, Australia, or EU.
- Requires foundational knowledge of clinical nutrition, weight management, and preventive health.
- Requires communication, active listening, interpersonal skills, and the ability to tailor advice to diverse preferences.
- Must be comfortable using electronic health records, meal planning software, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- English proficiency is required; bilingual or multilingual candidates are a plus.
- DHA eligibility and a Good Standing Certificate are listed.
Learning opportunities
