DevOps Manager / DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Manager / DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the organization's DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and continuous delivery pipelines to support secure, scalable, and reliable software development and operations.

This role bridges software engineering and IT operations by automating infrastructure, streamlining deployment processes, and improving system performance, availability, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that automate software build, testing, deployment, and release processes.

The role manages cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, virtual machines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficient resource utilization.

The position monitors application performance, system health, and infrastructure availability using monitoring, logging, and observability tools.

It performs incident response, root cause analysis, capacity planning, and performance tuning while implementing preventive measures that enhance system resilience and minimize downtime.

In addition, the role manages configuration management, environment provisioning, security automation, backup and disaster recovery strategies, and compliance with organizational security standards.

It supports software development teams by optimizing development environments, automating operational workflows, and integrating security practices throughout the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).

The role collaborates closely with software engineers, QA teams, IT operations, cybersecurity specialists, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable software releases and continuously improve engineering practices.

For managerial responsibilities, the role also provides technical leadership, mentors DevOps team members, manages project priorities, and drives the adoption of DevOps culture, Agile methodologies, and operational best practices across the organization.

Strong understanding of DevOps principles, cloud computing, Linux and Windows system administration, networking, virtualization, containerization, infrastructure as code (IaC), and software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Ability to design, automate, and manage secure and scalable infrastructure environments.

Proficiency in cloud platforms, CI/CD tools, container orchestration technologies, configuration management tools, version control systems, scripting languages, monitoring platforms, and automation frameworks.

Familiarity with microservices architecture, serverless computing, and DevSecOps practices is advantageous.

Strong knowledge of system architecture, cloud security, infrastructure automation, disaster recovery, high availability, performance optimization, and incident management.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective technical solutions.

Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering, operations, and business teams while leading technical initiatives and mentoring team members.
