Job Summary
- Lead the development and implementation annual fundraising, community relations and communications strategy.
- In consultation with the Head of Executive Committee, develop an annual action plan, targets and budget.
- Monitor and report on planned activities to ensure that all fundraising strategies are delivered in an efficient, effective and professional manner.
- Develop and implement systems and processes, which enable efficient reporting on outcomes from services to donors and provide relevant information to potential donors.
- Coordinate the publication of an annual report.
- Attend networking events representing in the community.
- Seek out and establish relationships with corporations, individuals, educational institutions, local authorities, commercial organizations and voluntary organisations for sponsorship and support.
- Recruit and coordinate the work of volunteers.
A. Fundraising
1.
Work with the School Board Fundraising Committee as liaison.
2.
Develop innovative fundraising initiatives and campaigns.
3.
Identify potential donors and service providers through databases, independent research and networking.
4.
Write proposals and other relevant documents to attract new business and undertake presentations at client meetings.
5.
Act as the primary point of contact for corporate partners and individual supporters.
6.
Coordinate contact with potential donors, conduct solicitations, perform strong follow-ups, and respond quickly and efficiently to requests.
7.
Continuously coordinate the update the wish list to circulate amongst current and potential donors.
8.
Research appropriate opportunities for involvement in the community.
9.
Oversee the Sponsor a Child campaign and the Greeting Card Campaign.
10.
Assist in organizing the Annual Gala Dinner.
B. Relationship Management
1.
Cultivate and manage relationships with philanthropic trusts, foundations, businesses, government agencies and individuals.
2.
Develop programs to enhance communications with philanthropic trusts, community groups and corporations.
3.
Effectively engage stakeholders by regularly monitoring and measuring their satisfaction levels, evaluating the effectiveness of specific campaigns, developing strategies and interventions designed to ensure continuing commitment and addressing any potential issues.
4.
Maintain databases of information, useful contacts, and potential future funders and service providers.
5.
Keep thorough records of past and current supporters.
6.
Correspond with appropriate members of the database keeping them informed of progress, initiatives, and upcoming events.
7.
Write partnership agreements.
8.
Establish a system of recognition for all those who have supported.
C. Marketing & PR
1.
Enhance the profile in the public arena and community.
2.
Update directories, handbooks and databases.
3.
Produce marketing materials to represent its fundraising initiatives.
4.
Produce innovative paraphernalia.
5.
Circulate the newsletter, annual report and marketing materials via various media.
6.
Partner with agencies to cover various events.
7.
Build strong relationships with media agencies.
8.
Design, develop, and maintain the website.
9.
Set up and coordinate online payments.
10.
Maintain a strong online presence on social media and networking sites (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram…).
