Design Delivery Manager (Saudi nationals only) - Al Ula

Role overview

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• 10+ years of full-time paid professional experience managing design coordination, planning, and scheduling for major projects, including sports, hotel, educational, or cultural projects.
• Ability to build consensus among stakeholders and demonstrate active leadership.
• Experience with LEED/Estidama and Middle East experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor architectural and engineering work for on-time and on-budget performance and compliance with Design Guidelines and contract terms.
• Monitor design development from concept through schematic and detailed or contract documents, and conduct design reviews throughout.
• Conduct constructability reviews to support schedules and program budgets.
• Monitor consultant submissions to secure regulatory and local authority approvals and permits.
• Include design-to-budget requirements in relevant RFPs and contracts and monitor compliance.
• Report in writing on events likely to change program scope, quality, content, or function.
• Schedule staged design submissions for client approval, advise on necessary compromises, and allow for approvals in the master schedule.
• Ensure timely design information sharing to minimize abortive work.
• Monitor consultant deliverables and progress; alert the client to risks to completion dates or milestones and recommend remedial action.
• Monitor statutory approvals and maintain an NOC register; schedule design around client approvals, municipality permits, NOCs, and other statutory approvals.

• Manage design information and coordinate design packages from all project parties to the client.
• Apply quality management and risk assessment principles and processes.
• Network, negotiate, influence stakeholders, and broker relationships inside and outside the project.
• Support and provide leadership to the project team, direct meetings, and encourage discussion of the wider commercial context.
• Consider broader environmental, social, and economic perspectives affecting the project.
