Role overview

Support the MLRO in establishing and maintaining a practical, risk-based AML/CFT and financial crime framework for the brokerage.

The work aligns with UAE legislation and relevant CMA requirements and combines financial crime oversight with business and operational partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain AML/CFT programmes, policies, procedures, systems, and controls for the securities and brokerage business.
  • Oversee risk-based onboarding and reviews, CDD/EDD, ownership checks, screening, and source-of-funds/wealth assessments.
  • Support financial crime controls, transaction monitoring, investigations, suspicious activity reviews, and regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain risk assessments; report on risks, trends, control effectiveness, and remediation priorities.
  • Advise teams, deliver training, support regulatory and audit interactions, and deputize for the MLRO when authorized.
  • Improve systems, data, and processes and comply with applicable laws and company policies.

Professional competence

  • Practical UAE AML/CFT and CMA knowledge relevant to securities firms, with relevant financial crime or regulatory compliance experience.
  • Experience with CDD/EDD, complex ownership and beneficial ownership, source-of-funds/wealth assessments, screening, transaction monitoring, and UAE FIU/goAML reporting.
  • Experience contributing to risk assessments, control testing, remediation, management reporting, and regulatory or audit interactions.
  • CAMS, CISI, ICA, or equivalent recognized qualification is specified; applicable CMA professional competence requirements must be met.
  • Strong judgment, drafting, and stakeholder-management skills; Arabic or Russian language skills are essential.

Opportunity

  • Join a growing international financial services group and contribute to building the operational infrastructure of a new UAE brokerage.
  • Work with senior leadership and gain exposure to global markets, brokerage products, investment operations, and cross-border financial services.
