Role overview

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily departmental operations and deliver work against established objectives.
• Develop strategies, action plans, operational procedures, objectives, performance targets, and KPIs.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise team members; allocate work and resources and conduct performance reviews.
• Identify workflow challenges and implement operational improvements.
• Prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, and manage resources within approved limits.
• Collaborate with senior management and other departments on plans, priorities, decisions, and aligned workflows.
• Analyze reports, metrics, and performance data; prepare management updates and summaries.
• Maintain departmental policies, procedures, SOPs, records, and documentation.
• Manage operational risks and business continuity; support recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development.
• Resolve operational issues and employee concerns; ensure compliance with policies, regulations, standards, and internal controls.
• Manage relevant stakeholder, service-provider, and business-partner relationships.
• Lead meetings, communicate priorities, support change initiatives, improve service quality, and promote continuous learning.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Department Manager, Department Head, Operations Manager, Team Manager, or similar leader.
• Demonstrated team-management and departmental-operations experience with a record of achieving performance targets.
• Strong leadership, planning, organization, time management, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of operational planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and performance management.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, stakeholder-management, conflict-resolution, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to develop strategies and measurable objectives, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with business management systems, reporting tools, and performance-monitoring platforms is advantageous.
• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations Management, or a relevant field is preferred.
• Budgeting experience, cross-functional collaboration, and relevant industry experience are advantageous.
