Position Overview
The Dental Assistant joins the clinical team and supports dentists, patient care, infection control, and a comfortable patient experience.
Work Location
- Work is in person in Sharjah.
Clinical Assisting
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists with general, specialty, and surgical procedures, including four-handed dentistry.
- Welcome patients, review medical histories, explain treatment steps, and support physical and psychological comfort.
- Follow SHA hygiene standards, infection-control protocols, and hazardous-material management guidelines.
- Position patients and take intraoral or extraoral dental X-rays as directed by the treating dentist.
- Mix restorative materials, take impressions, prepare dental trays, and maintain clinic stock levels.
- Record patient notes in EHR, manage appointments, and handle patient inquiries as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- An active SHA Assessment Certificate, SHA DataFlow Verification, or SHA Eligibility Letter is mandatory.
- At least 1–2+ years of hands-on dental assisting experience in the UAE.
- Diploma or degree in Dental Assisting, Nursing, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Fluent English is required; Arabic fluency is an advantage.
- Proficiency in EHR software, strong interpersonal and bedside manner, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
