Assistant Financial Controller

Overview

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly accounts by branch, department and consolidated group.
• Build and maintain a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast.
• Monitor cash balances, payment commitments and working-capital requirements.
• Reconcile bank accounts, patient receipts, insurer remittances and outstanding balances.
• Work with the billing team to investigate rejected claims, deductions and overdue receivables.
• Calculate doctor remuneration accurately under individual agreements.
• Analyze collected revenue, direct clinical costs and contribution by doctor, specialty and service.
• Establish transparent allocation of shared expenses between branches.
• Monitor payroll, purchasing, inventory costs and supplier commitments.
• Prepare budgets, break-even analyses and financial scenarios for new services.
• Evaluate marketing expenditure alongside appointment, collection and contribution data.
• Coordinate applicable UAE tax filings and external audits with qualified advisers.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least five years of relevant accounting and financial management experience.
• Previous UAE healthcare experience in a clinic group, medical center or hospital.
• Strong understanding of insurance receivables, healthcare billing and doctor compensation arrangements.
• Advanced Excel and practical experience with accounting software and clinic-system reconciliations.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare cash forecasts, management accounts and departmental profitability reports.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, professional integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to explain financial findings clearly and challenge unsupported assumptions.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACCA, ACA, CPA or CMA qualification is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple branches, opening clinics or improving working capital is particularly valuable.
• Arabic communication is an advantage.

Compensation

• Pay: AED 4,000.00 - AED 24,000.00 per month.
• A salaried position; employment package and working arrangements discussed with shortlisted candidates.
