Demand Planning and Purchasing Supervisor

Schedule and work arrangement

• Hybrid schedule: onsite at least 3 days per week and open to working remotely the other 2 days.

Position overview

Responsibilities

• Lead Purchasing Analysts to ensure forecast accuracy and performance, improve supply chain outcomes and customer service, and ensure procedures are completed properly.
• Oversee supervisory functions for the assigned region.
• Plan and purchase inventory across multiple suppliers for a multi-tier distribution network, manage supplier relationships, and lead regional Purchasing Analysts.
• Develop team members through performance management and development plans, and create succession plans for Purchasing Supervisors and Analysts.
• Translate marketing, sales, and corporate forecasts into inventory levels balanced against service-level outcomes.
• Monitor inventory health and surplus or deficit, identify systemic issues, implement short-term action plans with tactical partners, and develop long-term solutions with the optimization team.

Required education and experience

• Either a bachelor’s degree with 4 or more years of related experience and 0 to 1 or more years of leadership experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 7 or more years of specific experience and 2 to 3 or more years of leadership experience.
