Role Objective
- Develop and facilitate the consensus forecast for the assigned brand on SPGR level aiming to balance between the relevant KPIs [Service Level, Forecast Accuracy, Bias & Inventory Value].
- Order management, securing customer service, distribution, inventory planning and waste management.
Main Accountabilities
- Demand Planning (of the category & market assigned)
- Forecasting demand by analyzing sales data and market trends with the distributors
- Coordinating with Supply planners for on time and in full NPDs and Relaunches
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain performance and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Data Analysis and Reporting- Generating regular reports to track key metrics and communicate performance to stakeholders.
Inventory Management
- Manage inventory at distributor effectively to secure product sales and devise improvement actions to maximize utilization
- Controlling demand & replenishment for items based on SKU classification
- Monitor, evaluate and build depletion plans for excess stocks, blocked stocks and short shelf-life stocks.
- Aligning with stakeholders plans to deplete short shelf life and excess stocks.
Reporting
- Report on inventory (DIH) and forecast accuracy monthly
- Monthly reporting on Waste risks and depletion action plans
- Report NS & IMS forecast accuracy by SKU for M+3 & M+1 for owned categories and markets monthly
- Track and report on distributor stock coverage progression & expected YE landing.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with business goals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on supply chain status and resolve any issues.
- Analyze demand issues and facilitate resolution throughout the supply chain
- Leading and delivering forecast cycles for business planning
Others
- Any additional analysis, tasks and duties, which would be required to fulfill the scope of the role as requested by the line manager.
- Work with the distributors to build their forecasting capabilities to ensure a stable NS forecast and minimum waste due to forecast fluctuations.
Education
- Bachelor from an accredited university with a focus on Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in demand/supply planning in an FMCG company or similar industry.
Skills
- High proficiency in MS Office applications with emphasis on advanced excel.
- Knowledge of SAP (R3 & APO) is an advantage.
- High analytical skills & attention to details
- Ability to quickly understand & grasp business processes
- Team player and able to work autonomously
- High sense of urgency & ability to timely root cause & resolve problems
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Language
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are mandatory. Arabic is a plus.
